Chapter 59
Chapter 59:
“…”
The office was silent.
Sean, the executive assistant, gave his glasses a push. Then he reached over and closed the door, cutting off the gossipy stares of those in the secretary’s office outside, but also piquing everyone’s intense curiosity.
Chester feebly tried to tempt him. “Think about it, Justin. A kind, tender, adorable daughter: don’t you want one?”.
The way he described her sent the image of Pete playing with Barbies flashing through Justin’s mind. A sharp glint instantly appeared in his eyes and, with a warning tone, he asked, “What are you planning to do?”
Was he thinking of subjecting Pete to some kind of outrageous operation?
Chester was so frightened that he cringed and stammered, “Justin, really! You can have a daughter too! If you go with Nora, you can have both a son and a daughter!”
Justin, “?”
His first reaction was to breathe a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he hadn’t brought up the subject of Pete….
But immediately afterward, he realized what he meant…. But going with Nora… And having a daughter…
If he got into a relationship with that woman, his daughter would indeed have to call him daddy. Wouldn’t he then have a daughter?
He frowned and barked unconsciously, “Don’t be ridiculous!”.
How was he going to help someone else raise his daughter?
A surge of irritation suddenly surged through him, causing him to become enraged at the sight of Chester’s cowed look. He immediately pointed to the door. “Go away.”
Chester wanted to say something else, but as soon as he said his name, Justin barked angrily, “Out!”
“…”
A terrified Chester ran out of his office. Even his legs were shaking as he wiped the non-existent sweat from his forehead.
However, his eyes were bright and shining.
He had already told Justin the truth. He was the one who didn’t believe her, so she couldn’t blame him when he found out in the future…. Right?
Time to hurry home, find his little niece and get her to protect him in the game.

He left without any psychological burden. However, the low pressure in the office did not ease.
Justin’s eyes were downcast, but suddenly he could no longer process the words on the documents.
In reality, it was no big deal to raise someone else’s daughter. At most, he could have a nanny raise her instead. However, he had always been a cold and unfeeling man and found relationships very problematic.
Cultivating feelings with that woman was problematic enough. If you added one more daughter….
Wait a minute, when had he ever agreed to cultivate feelings with this woman?
Justin’s eyes, which had always been cool, rational, measured and wise, seemed at a loss at that moment. Soon after, he let out a short laugh. He felt as if he was worrying out of all proportion.
What did it have to do with him whether or not that woman had a daughter, and whether or not she had made mistakes in her youth?
All he had done was have her treat someone’s illness and owe her a favor, that was all.noveldrama
He would find an opportunity to return the favor and that would be it.

On the Andersons.
Sheril’s eyes sparkled under her double eyelids. “Nora, where did you get the formula?”
Nora was about to make something up when Sheril excitedly asked, “Did my aunt leave it for you?”
“…”
Seeing that she had already found a good excuse for her, Nora nodded.
Sheril was immediately excited and grabbed her hand. “The Myers released Refreshing Tablets this year, which are even more effective than our Vital Water. In addition, they also produced a Rest Pill and saved Elderly Mrs. Hunt. This has already become a legend in the industry!
“Footfall at Harmonia Pharmacy has seen a visible decline in recent times. Most of the pharmacies and hospitals we work with have also returned the merchandise and replaced it with the Myers’.
“If your mother really did leave the Rest Pill formula behind, there’s hope for the Andersons!”
Nora raised an eyebrow.
So that was what the Andersons were living for.
She looked down and said, “Wait a minute.”
She went upstairs, found a piece of paper in the room and wrote down on it the formula for the Resting Pill and the things to keep in mind during the manufacturing process. Then he went back downstairs and handed it to her. “This is the formula.”
Sheril stood up hurriedly. She looked somewhat grave as she said, “Can I have the formula like this, Nora?”
As a physician, Sheril knew how important a formula is.
However, Nora nonchalantly replied, “Yes.”
Seeing her confidence in her, Sheril gritted her teeth and took the formula from her. She said, “I’ll give it a try then. Nora, this pill is very difficult to make. My aunt tried very hard to make them last time, but in the end she only managed to make five. Don’t tell mom and dad about it for now, lest I get their hopes up and then disappoint them again.”
“…”
She had already improved the formula, so there would definitely be no problem.
But seeing her so nervous, Nora nodded.
The anxious Sheril rushed off again. She had to hurry to make the pills. This way, her parents wouldn’t have to go around asking for help to improve sales!
The next day, when Nora woke up and went downstairs for breakfast, she found Simon and Melissa sitting on the couch with disgusted expressions.
There was a health conference today, which would be attended by all relevant industry personnel.
They had previously arranged for Sheena and Simon to attend together. She would be in charge of technology and Simon would be in charge of sales. I had called Sheena and told her many things to placate her, but the other party had scoffed, “Don’t the Andersons need me anymore? Since you all like Nora so much, you can have me come with you!”.
No matter what happens internally, a family must always unite when faced with external enemies. Despite that, she was being very stubborn.
Melissa had always been even-tempered, but even she was quite indignant. “If she doesn’t want to go, so be it! I’ll go with you instead.”
Simon nodded.
As the two finished talking, they watched Nora come down the stairs.
Melissa took the opportunity to say, “Let’s go together, Nora! Today’s conference will also benefit you in many ways.”
Nora thought for a moment before saying, “Okay.”
The conference was held in the conference room of the Finest Hotel. Although they called it a conference, it was actually more like a small banquet. People could discuss and seal a lot of business here.
However, the three of them were stopped by the service staff at the door. “Sorry, the QR code on your invitation is wrong, so you can’t come in.”
Simon frowned. “But this is what they sent us!”.
The service staff replied, “This year’s conference is being held by the Myers. They said it’s a high-level medical conference, so they no longer invite doctors with little or bad reputations and reissued the invitations. Now you can’t get in.”
Simon was furious. He clenched his fists with an enraged look on his face.
It was obvious that the Myers were making things difficult for them.
But if they didn’t get in today, they would be thrown out of the medical industry!
At the sight of him being silent, contempt welled up in the staff on duty.
Doctors trying to sneak in to meet guests at high-profile conferences like this were a regular occurrence. He had seen many of them before.
Thinking that the three in front of him were also such people, he said loudly, “If you don’t have an invitation, please step aside and avoid blocking the guests behind you.”
His words attracted the attention of everyone around them.
The circle was very large; they all knew each other very well. Simon immediately felt his cheeks burning and felt terribly embarrassed.
He was about to say something when a voice interrupted him, “Wait a moment.”
