The Amber Light Fireflies were known for their exceptionally long lifespans, living thousands of years—far longer than common fireflies. At the same time, they were exceedingly rare, with only one being born among millions of other firefly beasts.
These rare insects fed exclusively on the high-quality sap of Immortal Fruit trees, making them incredibly difficult to raise. While some immortals kept them as pets, it was common to see just one or two in their cages.
As such, seeing so many of them here was nothing short of astonishing.
"How are there so many staying in the lamps?" Lin Mu wondered aloud. "I'm sure the lamps were empty during the day."
It wasn't possible to simply confine Amber Light Fireflies in lamps. Despite their delicate appearance, they were Immortal Insect Beasts. While weak compared to other beasts, they could easily drill through steel plates. A paper lamp would be no obstacle.
Lin Mu observed the lamps closely and noticed there were no reinforcing or imprisoning formations etched into them, meaning the fireflies stayed there of their own free will.
