Chapter 770
Night fell quickly.
Hendrix had been restless since evening. With no Internet here, he couldn't even distract himself with work. He could only lie in bed, flipping through the photos on his phone while listening intently for any movement outside.
He didn't like having his photo taken, and neither did Noelle. So there were very, very few pictures of the two of them on his phone. During the time Noelle was missing, he had already memorized every single one of the photos.
After scrolling through them several times, he finally couldn't take it anymore and got out of bed. To prove he wasn't joking, Hendrix was really planning to climb over the wall to find Noelle.
But then, he quickly remembered something-his arm was still in a splint. So there was no way he would be able to climb that wall.
In the end, he could only stand outside the wall, staring at the door. Only after confirming that Noelle wasn't coming out did he turn and go back inside.
As dawn broke, he finally heard movement from the house across the way. It was Irene heading out to the fields with her hoe.
Hendrix didn't hesitate. He got out of bed immediately.
Irene wasn't particularly cautious, and since the village was mostly populated by elderly people, even thieves didn't bother coming here. Thus, Hendrix easily pushed the door open.
The door to Noelle's room, however, was locked. But her window was much lower, and it didn't take Hendrix much effort to climb through it.
He hadn't slept all night. But Noelle clearly didn't know that. Because at this moment, she was tucked under her blanket, sleeping soundly.
Hendrix had originally planned to wake her up. But when she saw her peaceful sleeping face, he lowered his hand back down until it rested gently on her cheek.
The coolness of his touch made Noelle shiver slightly, and her eyes immediately opened. When she realized there was someone standing by her bed, her eyes widened slightly.
Then, she opened her mouth to scream. But Hendrix quickly covered it. "It's me."

from the window illuminated his face that she recognized him.
"W-What are you doing here?" Her lips were still covered by his hand, making her voice muffled.
Hendrix sneered. "What do you think? What did I tell you yesterday?"

"But I waited for you all night."
As Hendrix spoke, his voice grew slightly heavier. It was hard to tell whether from displeasure or disappointment.
Noelle was stunned. Then, guilt instantly filled her chest. After her lips trembled for
a moment, she could only say, "I'm sorry."noveldrama
But Hendrix didn't seem satisfied. "That's it?"
"Then what—"
Before Noelle could finish, Hendrix suddenly pulled her blanket away.
This startled her, and before she could react, Hendrix had already climbed into bed with her.
Noelle's room had once belonged to Nelly. The small bed, already cramped, became even more crowded with Hendrix in it.
