The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 913

Coming to the third floor, Matthew stepped off the escalator and looked around, feeling something was off.

Patients were lined up at the door, quietly chatting. It looked like something had just happened earlier. But it was just a fleeting thought for Matthew. He didn't dwell on it and started looking for Pierre.

"Hallway... Consultation..." Matthew muttered the keywords from what the nurse had told him earlier. Eventually, he came to a desk set diagonally in the hallway.

The table was in a mess like someone had flipped it over. He walked over and started going through the stuff on it.

He found an A4-sized piece of paper and furrowed his brows. It read, "Chief of Internal Medicine's consultation".

Matthew could tell this must be Pierre's makeshift office in the hallway, but where did he go? Could he be in the bathroom?

He picked up the chair on the floor and set it back in place before taking a seat. He figured he'd wait for Pierre to return.noveldrama

As the security captain, Dean fixed his gaze on the screen in the security room and frowned. "He's actually sat down. Is he not leaving?"

Grinning, Drew added, "Monkey is locked up in the office on the top floor. He won't be seeing anyone. Let's ignore this newcomer."

Dean knitted his brows together. "I don't know who this guy is, so I'm worried this might get out of hand."

Drew indifferently said, "Monkey pissed off the higher-ups. Whoever the newcomer is, he's not going to make a difference.

"Honestly, someone should have just taken Pierre out. I don't understand why

they let him stay here and bother everyone."

Dean coldly glanced at Drew. "Do you really think the higher-ups haven't considered killing Pierre?"

Drew was intrigued. "Why didn't they do it?"

Dean crossed his arms. "Someone threatened our boss. Once Monkey dies, that person's going to spend millions of dollars to spread the word. They'll tell the world about the injustice Monkey suffered. Abthat point, the boss won't be able to control the situation."

Drew's eyes went wide open. "That's millions of dollars! Are you serious? It's a huge fortune. Would they be willing to throw it all away? I can't believe anyone would go that far for Monkey."

Dean shook his head. "Maybe it's one of the patients he treated. You know his medical skills are top-notch. He's saved a few wealthy people, so it's not that surprising."

Drew nodded. Before Monkey got into trouble, he'd gone to Monkey for treatment, so he knew just how skilled Monkey was.

Dean saw Matthew was still there in the afternoon, getting more annoyed as the day went on. "Why is he still there?"

The next day, Dean just came to

work and spotted Matthew sitting in

the same spot. He was getting

impatient. "This guy is so persistent. We can't keep going like this forever."

Drew reached for a baton. "How about I bring a few men with me and throw him out?"

After a pause, Dean responded, "By the time we finish work, if he's still there, you and Graeme should warn him. Just try to intimidate him and don't start anything."

Looking at Matthew on the screen, Drew figured that a warning wouldn't make a difference. He felt getting physical was more effective, but he needed Dean's approval.

Drew asked again, "What if he ignores us?"

With a menacing look, Dean gritted his teeth and replied, "If he still shows up tomorrow, we'll teach him a lesson he won't forget. Make him bleed. He'll be scared after that."
