Aurora strolled around the yard of the lake house, pushing Elijah's stroller as they enjoyed the perfect weather. The gentle breeze must have done the trick-Elijah was fast asleep before she'd made it halfway down the gravel path.

She was just about to head back inside when her phone started buzzing. Glancing at the screen, she saw it was her mom.

"Hey, Mom?"

"Abigail, honey, what are you up to?" Dorothy's voice was warm as always, wrapping around her like a cozy blanket.

"I'm outside with Elijah, just about to head home. What's up?"

"Well, you'd better hurry back! There's big news over here-something worth celebrating."

Aurora paused, raising her brows. "Celebrating? Don't tell me did my brother finally propose?"

That was honestly the only kind of news she could imagine her mom calling her about. She doubted it was anything to do with The Lopez Corporation landing another big contract-work stuff just wasn't her thing.

Dorothy chuckled. "You're half right! Felicity's pregnant. So now your brother really needs to get his act together and set a date."

Aurora's eyes went wide. "Wait, seriously? Felicity's pregnant? Did she see the doctor yet?"

"She did. The doctor confirmed it, and that's when she told me."

"That's amazing! Felicity can finally stop stressing over it."

Just thinking about it made her shudder. If anything had happened, she'd never have forgiven herself. Felicity was her brother Langston's darling-he'd have a heart attack if anything happened to her.

"Babies come when they're meant to," Dorothy said with a smile in her voice. "It just goes to show-Felicity and Langston were meant to be parents. If you're not too busy this afternoon, why don't you bring Elijah over? Your dad's been missing his grandson, even if he pretends otherwise. I'll call Langston and Felicity too, and we'll all have dinner together-just us."

"Perfect! I'll get our stuff together and head over."

After hanging up, Aurora packed up for the drive back to the Lopez place, changing Elijah into something cute for his grandparents.
