The CEO’s Hidden Love Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires

Chapter 1719

Dorothy paused for a moment, caught off guard by what she'd just heard.

As someone who'd been around the block, the moment she heard the word "nauseous," her mind instantly jumped to one thing-pregnancy.

But...

Wasn't Felicity's situation a bit... complicated?

If she brought it up and it turned out not to be pregnancy, wouldn't that just crush the poor girl?

So after a few seconds of hesitation, Dorothy finally asked, "Well... have you two been staying together lately?"

"Yeah, Felicity's been living at my place," Langston replied.

"Langston, do you know when Felicity usually gets her period? Maybe she's not feeling well because..." Dorothy trailed off, but by then, even if Miles was clueless, he'd have picked up on what his mother was hinting at.

But still...

"Mom, you know about her health, right?"

"Well, sure, but it's not like any doctor has said it's completely impossible for her to get pregnant!" Dorothy paused, then added in a lower voice, "Listen, this is just between you and me. Don't go telling Felicity I brought this up! I promised I wouldn't meddle in your relationship, and whether you two have kids or not, that's your business. But if, by some miracle, you are expecting, then we'd want to know as soon as possible so we can take good care of Felicity."

Everyone knew what Felicity was like-she was full of energy, always on the go. If she really was pregnant and didn't know it herself, well, that could get dicey fast.

"You're right, Mom, but... I can't exactly just ask Felicity outright. If she's not pregnant, she'd be devastated."

Miles knew better than anyone that not being able to have kids was a sore spot for Felicity. He was always careful not to bring up kids around her. He even made sure not to act too interested in Abigail's son when Felicity was around, just in case she'd get upset or start blaming herself.

Dorothy thought for a moment. "Well, that's not too hard to figure out! Just pick up

a test kit yourself and find a way to check, without Felicity ever knowing."

"Uh... Mom, that's easier said than done."

All the toilets at home were high-tech and flushed automatically. Even if they weren't, there's no way Felicity would just leave the bathroom without flushing!noveldrama

"And her cycle has always been irregular. Now with her health, it's even more unpredictable."

So, trying to secretly test for pregnancy without her knowing? Almost impossible.

Dorothy was quiet for a second, then her eyes lit up. "Here's an idea-bring her over to the house! Leave the rest to me."

"You think that'll work? Please, whatever you do, don't let Felicity get suspicious," Miles said, his worry obvious.

He honestly didn't care much about having kids anymore. If it happened, great. If not, he'd already made hisz peace with it. In his mind, if Felicity didn't have to go through the whole pregnancy ordeal, she might even be happier. He'd seen Abigail go

through the whole nine months, and he was convinced Felicity would be just fine skipping all that.

But Felicity? She put so much pressure on herself. Miles had caught her wiping away tears more than once, letting out a heavy sigh. He'd even seen her phone's search history-full of questions about possible treatments.

Dorothy sighed on the other end of the line. "You don't trust your own mother to

handle this? I'd never do anything to hurt Felicity."
