The young woman before me was quite bold.

I chuckled. "Do you think calling the police will help? If it did, would you still be here? The crimes they've committed would, at most, get them locked up for a month, and they'd be out on bail in no time. By then, their revenge on you would be far more brutal."

"Bring it on!" The young lady glared at me fiercely, and her eyes were full of ferocity. "Come at me if you dare! I'll fight you to the death!"

The two thugs laughed mockingly.

"Brat, stop wasting time with her. We've tried the carrot and the stick, but she's as stubborn as a mule. That's why we gagged her," one of them said.

Another person added, "Exactly. Let's wait for Marcus to erase the footage and handle it himself."

It was laughable how those two still assumed I was on their side.

I ignored them and turned to the young lady. "Is it really necessary to take this so far? Tell me what sort of apology or compensation you want from them. If I can make it happen, let's put this matter to rest and move on. What do you think?"

She sneered coldly when she heard that. "Alright! Let me tell you exactly what I want. I want that guy Marcus to kneel before me and apologize for his actions. Next, I want him to bash his head open and pay ten times the cost of my medical bills, along with half a month's lost income."

She continued, "I'm a commercial model. With my head injured like this, I'll lose out on at least three commercial shoots. Each shoot pays eight thousand dollars, so that's 24 thousand dollars! With the tenfold medical compensation, that's a total of 29 thousand dollars!"

I laughed lightly. "Is that all you're asking for?"

Honestly, I didn't expect her to be so lenient. If it were me, I'd ask for at least a million straightaway.

The young lady frowned. "Enough with the empty talk. You're talking as if you can actually pull it off!"

I smiled and said, "I can make it happen. It's not a big deal. Here's my suggestion. Marcus and all his men will bash their heads in front of you. Each will pay you ten thousand dollars, and Marcus will pay an extra 30 thousand. Does that work for you?"

She froze and stared at me in disbelief. "I've experienced all kinds of negotiations, but I've never seen anyone deliberately raise the price like this. Are you out of your mind?"

"I'm helping you, and you're still insulting me?" I retorted.

Her face was filled with skepticism. "Let's see if you actually do it! Stop spouting empty promises!"

"Fine." I stood up and turned to face the two thugs. "To earn her trust, why don't you two take the lead?

The two thugs stared at me in bewilderment.

"What's wrong with you?" one of them asked.

"You can't be serious," another chimed in.

I responded earnestly, "Do I look like I'm joking?"

They were left even more perplexed.

I waved them over. "Come on. Stop wasting time. If you don't come over now, I'll have no choice but to call someone to drag you here. It'll be even more humiliating, and you might get hurt. You'd better burry before I lose my temper."

turning against us? What kind of

nonsense is this?"

I smiled. "You really believed it when I said Marcus sent me? I came on my own

just to help this young lady."

As I spoke, I went ahead and untied the ropes that were binding her.

It wasn't until that moment that she finally seemed to believe I was there to help. Nervously, she asked, "W-Who are you? Why are you helping me?"

"Why not? Do I need a reason? If you need one, I'll say that I'm doing this in the name of... justice!" I replied.
