Riches in Disguise

Chapter 379

Gabrielle looked at me for a long moment before nodding in agreement.

After going downstairs, I was about to hail a taxi back to school when I received a call from Jane.

"Will, the building manager, and a female resident just had a fight, and I think someone got hurt. I'm kind of scared..."

"What?" I was stunned.

I originally planned to return to school first and then deal with the issues at the apartment tomorrow, but things escalated much sooner than expected.

"Jane, stay in your room and don't come out. I'm heading over right now!"

"Okay, Will. I won't leave my room. Don't worry about me."noveldrama

She was always obedient and cautious, never doing anything reckless.

I hung up and immediately called Quintus. As I turned, I saw him standing by a tree in a windbreaker not far from the flower bed, smoking a cigarette. He looked both stylish and cool.

But I couldn't afford to admire him at the moment. I nodded to him briefly before hailing a taxi straight to the apartment.

I had just acquired the building, and if it gained a bad reputation, it would be a huge problem.

I saw those two blond security guards again when I arrived at the apartment.

They seemed to recognize me and frowned, clearly displeased. "What are you doing here again? Are you even renting? If not, stop coming here like it's a shopping mall!"

I ignored them and walked straight toward the elevator.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!" They became angry and moved to block me.

But I didn't even look back because I knew that Quintus would handle it.

As expected, I soon heard a muffled grunt from behind. Before long, Quintus entered the elevator.

He wasn't sure how far I intended to go with this, so he asked, "Mr. White, how do you plan to deal with them?"

I answered coldly, "I was going to let Mason handle it, but they crossed the line with me. I'll make sure to get rid of them completely."

"Understood."

According to Jane, the incident happened on the sixth floor, next to her apartment. So, I went straight there.

As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, I heard voices from a group of thugs.

"How's the woman?"

"She's still tied up. We had someone bandage her up. Her injuries aren't serious. Let's see if we can find any clues on her. If we find anything threatening, we'll just use it to shut her up. If not, we can take some compromising photos, and she won't dare to speak."

"Don't worry. Everything's fine. Marcus has already gone to destroy the

surveillance footage. She won't have any evidence to find."

Hearing this made my blood boil. Did these people even care about the law? They

were openly discussing illegal activities in broad daylight.

Where did Sophia find these thugs for me? Once this situation was resolved, I

was definitely going to ask her about it!

I reached the door of Jane's apartment, where three thugs were standing guard.

There were also three others patrolling the hallway.

Anyone who didn't know better

would think someone important

lived here, but in reality, it was just a

woman who had been tricked into

ve

renting the place, only to be harassed and beaten during a dispute.

I walked forward without hesitation.

When the people in the hallway saw me, they recognized me.

It wasn't surprising. Few people had come to look at the units that day and I had been quite noticeable. had also helped Gabrielle with her faucet, so they probably remembered me.

They didn't seem suspicious at first and thought I was just another potential renter.

The moment they saw me stop directly in front of that woman's door, the three men immediately turned to glare at me in unison.
