Chapter 839
- You are his mother
He was the first to run, and he actually hid here.
Their conversation was completely heard. Holy knew it was Lang, so he did not dare to make a sound.
So what should she do now?
He could not let Lang find Holy, and she could not let Lang return either. She did not know if William had escaped from danger yet.
Alice gasped, and turned to look at Lang. Unknowingly, Lang had squatted on the ground, his hands holding his head, and muttered in pain, "Why can't I find the culprit! I've already looked everyone up, and I still don't know who the murderer is. I still don't know!"
"Who is the murderer? Who killed Polly? Who killed Polly? I will find them! I will find them!"
Lang excitedly said. His tone was absent-minded and strange.
He looked like mad. Alice looked at him with a little fear, she reached out to her stomach and hesitated for two seconds, but still walked towards Lang. "Mr. Lang, are you alright? This is sad; let's not stay here; let's go back to the car."
Among the flowers, there was a gaze.
Alice could only pray that Holy did not think that she was going to ignore him and take Lang away.
"Don't touch me!"
Lang excitedly shook her hand off. Alice stumbled a few steps to the side and almost fell down. When she steadied her body and looked at Lang again, she was shocked.
Lang stood up from the ground. With his pair of sinister eyes staring at her, he walked step by step towards her and tightly grasped her shoulders. "Polly, you came back. You came back to see me."
"Mr. Lang, this is Nell."
Alice was a little afraid of Lang, hence she desperately reached out her hand to push him.
Lang didn't seem to be able to hear her at all; he stared deeply at her and said, "Polly, don't worry; I planted your favorite flower on channel, and the flower will soon cover the entire channel. You said before, when flowers bloom, it will be the most gentle, and people's mood will improve;are you happy now?"
"You grew the flowers?"
Alice was stunned, wasn't it rumored that they were wild flowers?
"Of course it was planted by me. I don't know who spread the news that it was wild flowers, so some tourists came to take a look." Lang grabbed Alice's shoulders as he stared at her with deep emotions. "But don't worry, I won't allow anyone to trample on this place. Look, the flowers are blooming so well; they will soon cover the entire channel."
With that, Lang dragged Alice into the flower bush. He wanted her to see if the flowers were blooming well.
Holy was hiding somewhere not too far away.
"I see it. I see it; don't step on the flowers."
Alice anxiously pulled Lang along, but her strength could not match up to a man. Lang pulled her further, "Look, the flowers are almost blooming. I told you before; when the flowers covered the entire channel, I and Catherine would come and see you. I've calculated that the flowers will be full in less than two weeks."
Lang laughed again as he said this, and slapped his own head hard. "Look at me; you're all here. I think the flowers are already blooming. Come, let's go take a look."
Can't look! I can't go any further!
"I know you're blaming Catherine for not calling for your help back then. I've already taught her a lesson about how the murderer looked like. And the bad guys, I'll take care of them. This time, I didn't ignore you. I've been thinking about you." Lang chattered on.
Don't go any further!
In front of him was where Holy was hiding.
Alice looked at Lang in panic; her entire body was forcefully dragged forward. Lang raised his leg, and seeing that he was about to step on Holy, Alice didn't have time to think anymore and shouted, "Ah
Lang was shocked by her shout. He nervously asked, "What happened?"
"My leg seems to be injured." Alice touched her leg, and frowned as she looked at Lang, "Mr. Lang, can we go back to the carriage? I can't seem to get away." Lang stood there stiffly, staring at her, "Mr. Lang?"
As if he had just awoken from a dream, Lang's eyes suddenly sobered up as he looked at her in disappointment. "Alice?"noveldrama
"Yes, it's me."
Did he lose his mind just now? Did he really think of her as his wife?
Without thinking too much, Alice revealed a pained expression, "Can you help me to get to the car? My legs are really painful, and if we don't walk any further, the flowers and plants will be destroyed by us."
Holy, you must definitely hide carefully.
Lang couldn't hide the disappointment in his heart. He even lowered his voice and said, "Alright."
Alice heaved a sigh of relief. Her hair was full of sweat, the wind blew and it was so cold that she wanted to shiver.
Lang walked forward to help her leave. When she walked to a step, Lang suddenly stopped in her tracks. Alice looked at him nervously.
"The flower has been trampled by us. Let me help you.wait a moment."
He bent down to pick up the two flowers.
"Why don't I do it tomorrow? I can't see clearly even in the middle of the night." Alice tried her best to make her tone sound normal.
"Sure."
Alice's heart was once again at ease. Just as she was about to leave, Lang suddenly turned around and quickly walked two steps, grabbed Holy out of the flowers and sneered, "So it turns out that you're hiding here!"
Holy's entire person was lifted off the ground; his legs were off the ground, and his body was just like before. However, his small face gave off an unexpected calm, and didn't seem to have any fear, as he stared fixedly at Lang.
Alice watched this scene in horror. For a moment, her breathing was still.
Only then did Lang set him down, and he said with a cold smile, "You escaped very well and hid very well, but no one told you to not turn on the flashing light of your watch while you're hiding, right?"
Did he think that he was blind?
Holy stood there without saying a word, and did not even look at Alice.
"Come back with me! You are more important than William's!" Lang grabbed Holy and left.
"Mr. Lang!" Alice shouted loudly. Lang looked at her and she quickly said, "Mr. Lang, he is only a child. Why are you doing this to him?
"Released? Release him. The Cullen family will send someone over soon, and all my plans will be in vain."
"What exactly are your plans?"
Alice asked.
"No one can stop me from seeing my wife!" Lang said, and carried Holy out, "No one is allowed!"
Alice stood there, at a loss of what to do. Many thoughts ran through her mind, but she did not dare to do anything.
When he walked past her, Holy suddenly raised his head and looked at him. His eyes were as black as the night sky, yet stained with moonlight.
It was as if he had resigned himself to his fate and did not care whether she would save him or not.
"If I had known you were so good at running, I would have left your sister behind
too!"
Lang said coldly. He had initially thought that the little girl was innocent and wanted to let him go, but he had really underestimated the importance of William's children.
Lang firmly grabbed onto him and laughed coldly in disdain. He grabbed the clothes on Holy's back and lifted him up like a little chick.
Holy struggled desperately. After being beaten up by Lang twice, Alice rushed forward in an attempt to stop him. Suddenly, she grabbed onto the other hand that Lang had extended him with and forcefully bit down.
"Ugh!"
Lang painfully pulled back his hand, but was desperately grabbed onto by Holy. Lang had no choice but to throw him onto the ground and look down at his own hand, which had a small bite mark on it.
"You damned little bastard!" Lang cursed hysterically. "Is your mother being bullied?"
Alice looked at Lang in shock. He was currently filled with anger; his expression was sinister, and his eyes were sinister. She suddenly understood why a seven- year-old girl like Catherine would curse out so many bizarre words.
Holy crawled up from the ground and glared at him with his hands covering his mouth.
Lang swung his hands, seeing Holy's expression, and he immediately became angry, raised his leg and kicked at.
"Holy!"
Alice rushed over recklessly and hugged Holy's skinny body, leaving her back to Lang who kicked her back.
"Ah!"
Alice cried out in pain as she hugged Holy and fell into the flower bush.
Holy fell onto her body; she did not care about the pain, and immediately supported himself up. Holy laid on the ground, a pair of pitch black eyes stared at her, as though he did not recognize her, "Mom."
She saved him.
Why did she save him?
He did not even manage to hide properly; he did not fulfill William's request. He
was so stupid; how could she still save him?
"Alice?"
Lang looked at Holy quizzically.
Alice didn't have time to stand up as she turned and sat in the middle of the flowers, blocking in front of Holy. She stretched out her arms and looked at Lang, "Mr. Lang, he's still a child; your story is very sad and pitiful, but you can't create the tragedy of others just because of your own tragedy."
Lang stood there, his hands hanging down, his eyes fixed on her face. "He just called you Mom."
Alice's body stiffened, and a wave of cold air leaped out from her back.
"Are you his mother?" Lang slowly crouched down in front of Alice, his eyes
narrowing little by little. "You are William's wife?"
Alice sat there with Holy standing behind her.
"Ah, right. It does look a bit similar." Lang came to a realization. "I saw you in the newspapers, but I didn't take it to heart."
Over the past few years, he had become indifferent to things that were beyond his plans.
"Mr. Lang, can we talk properly?"
Alice said as waves of pain came from her back. Lang's kick was not light.
"William's wife, Wave Island's Flower Harvester." Lang thought for a moment. His
eyes were filled with hatred. "You've always been lying to me?"
What flower picking woman, what bullying, all for him to see?
What do you think?
