I wasn't worried that Caleb would miss my message. He always checked his phone after training, and 1 still had time before meeting Jeremy.

Taking a deep breath, I pressed down on the gas pedal and headed straight for Sky Sanatorium.

When I arrived, Jeremy's imposing black Range Rover was already parked at the sanatorium's entrance. As I approached, I saw him practicing some kind of martial art-karate or taekwondo, perhaps.

I quickly parked my car and walked over. As soon as I was close enough, I said, "Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Kramer."

Jeremy paused his movements, pressed his hands down in a controlled manner, and took a deep breath. Then he looked at me with his signature playful smirk and said, "Waiting for a beautiful lady is never a chore."

His nonchalant tone was as consistent as ever. I forced a polite smile and said, "Shall we head in

now?"

Jeremy frowned slightly. "Are you going in like that?"

I blinked, confused by his question. It took me a moment to realize what he meant. Arriving empty-handed to visit someone-especially an elder-was improper.

Embarrassed, I quickly made an excuse. "Sorry. It's so early that I couldn't find a flower shop open."

Jeremy chuckled, clearly amused by my flimsy excuse. Without saying another word, he raised his arm and snapped his fingers. Immediately, one of his assistants approached with a bouquet of fresh

flowers.

"I had these prepared for you," Jeremy said with a smile as his assistant, Robbie Mack, handed me the

flowers.

I felt even more embarrassed but accepted the bouquet. "You're very thoughtful, Mr. Kramer. Thank

you."

I forced another smile, trying to remain composed. "Mr. Kramer, you're indeed a considerate person."

Jeremy raised an eyebrow, clearly pleased with my response. "I'm glad you think so."

"Of course," I said, though inwardly I cursed his excessive chatter.

I decided to cut to the chase. "Mr. Kramer, can we go in now?"

Jeremy shrugged casually and said, "Elaine, I don't know how much you know about my dad, but he has a peculiar habit. Especially over the past two years, with his health not being the best and all the little issues he's been facing..."

The corners of my mouth twitched slightly. It was my first time hearing someone speak about their father in such a casual, almost dismissive manner.

I wasn't foolish. I knew he was hinting at something. "Mr. Kramer, please let me know if there's anything specific I should keep in mind. I'll make sure to be careful."

Jeremy checked his watch and then said, "My dad doesn't see strangers."noveldrama

I nodded, understanding his point. "So, it seems I'll have to trouble you a bit more today, Mr. Kramer."

Jeremy shrugged again. "You're understanding. I won't beat around the bush. You can meet my dad, but you'll need to take on a different role."

I frowned slightly, confused. "Mr. Kramer, please be straightforward."

Jeremy stepped closer to me, and I instinctively stepped back. His smile widened

as he said, "Be my girlfriend."
