Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1649

Most folks figured Yvenne was just asking for trouble. If she hadn't clung to Fiona's hand so fiercely, she wouldn't have been tossed aside like that.

"Before the break, didn't you rush back to school because of her?" Fiona nodded, looking a bit put out as she glanced at Jackson. "Brother, I didn't mean to hurt anyone."

"I know, Fiona. You're always the sweetest; you wouldn't do something like that on purpose."

"But watch out, Yvenne isn't someone to mess with. She's competing in this designer contest and has built quite a reputation at school. Lots of teachers are fond of her. Plus, she snagged first place in the prelims. If you cross her again, the school definitely won't turn a blind eye."

Fiona shrugged it off, resting her head on Jackson's shoulder, and soon drifted into a peaceful sleep. Maybe being next to Jackson helped her relax.

During the ride, Jackson had Nash type up everything Yvenne had been up to at school. He was shocked to find out Fiona was being bullied there. It seemed like the school didn't give the Woods family the respect they deserved.

As Nash finished typing, he noticed a chill in the car, like the temperature had dropped. He glanced at Jackson and took a sharp breath. No one could withstand Jackson's fury.

They arrived at the restaurant, only to find it packed. Even the VIP room they usually reserved was booked. The owner, caught off guard by Jackson's visit, had no choice but to ask the current VIP guests to vacate. To everyone's surprise, Jasmine was the one inside.

Getting kicked out mid-meal, Jasmine was pretty ticked off. She couldn't believe anyone in New York wouldn't know who she was. Grumbling, she stepped out and spotted Jackson and Fiona, immediately shutting up. She dashed over to hug Fiona, whispering in her ear, "What on earth are you guys doing here? And since when are you so tight with Jackson?"

Jasmine quickly pieced it together. "Did you have something to do with Zoe's engagement party?"

Fiona just smiled, keeping her lips sealed.

Letting go of Fiona, Jasmine looked at Jackson. "I'm joining you for dinner. I got

booted halfway through my meal; you owe me."noveldrama

"This is a Woods family spot. That room is mine."

"Well, Fiona's with me. You go eat on your own; I'll take Fiona out."

Jackson finally sighed deeply, giving Jasmine a long, hard look filled with unreadable emotions. "Come on in."

"Alright, no point in wasting a free meal, especially when the food here hits the spot."

Meanwhile, in the school infirmary, Yvenne's hand had been pierced by a nail and needed surgery. She was rushed to the hospital, wailing in pain the whole way, which made the teachers accompanying her quite unhappy with Fiona.

"Oh, my hand hurts so much! Am I going to lose it? I can't lose my hand! I have so many dreams and a.

competition to finish. I can't let anything happen to it!"

Her cries were ear-piercing in the ambulance, and the teachers felt a pang of sympathy.

"You're not going to lose your hand, don't worry. We're taking you to

hospital, just try to stay calm" the

Keaton reassured her, though he sighed inwardly.
