"Nothing to do with you?" Amelia scoffed from behind the bodyguards. "You gave me the driver's contact. He knew you. You set this whole thing up. There's no way you're getting out of this."

She paused, then added, "Besides, you knew what I wanted to do to Janice, but you still hooked me up with the driver. If that's not being an accomplice, what is?" "You" Heidi snapped, her face red with fury. "I'll tear you apart!"

They lunged at each other, causing chaos in the room.

The bodyguards stood back, watching. Gregory and Emma tried to intervene, but their efforts were clearly biased toward Heidi.

Just then, Edward said, "Gregory, do we have a deal about the company or not?"

Meeting Edward's gaze, Gregory understood the warning. They weren't taking Heidi anywhere unless he dissolved the company.

Edward wasn't working alone anymore. He had a vast network of connections, and Robert was still backing him. Plus, with Calvin injured, the Ryans would have to answer to the Moores eventually. But the company represented decades of hard work for Gregory and Emma.

Edward continued, his gaze unwavering, "Once the company is dissolved, you won't be able to do business in Greenfield City for the next ten years."

He added, "Gregory, you'd better keep your word. You've known me long enough to know my temperament."

Gregory knew that if Edward was pushed too far, he'd do anything.

The entire Lakeshore City knew about Edward's clash with Robert when he decided to start his own business. The argument had nearly turned physical, and they almost severed ties.

Edward had never backed down from anyone-not even the powerful Moores, let alone Gregory. Edward's determination and ruthlessness were something they could never match.

"Dad," Heidi said, shaking her head vigorously. "No!"noveldrama

Gregory closed his eyes briefly. "I agree."

"Dad!" Heidi protested, her voice filled with disbelief.

Edward turned to look at Heidi, who was stunned by Gregory's decision. His expression was cold. "You can leave now," he said flatly.

At that moment, Heidi felt no guilt or gratitude for Gregory's sacrifice. All she could think about was that once the company was gone, she'd no longer be a wealthy heiress and would lose her place in the upper class of Lakeshore City. She couldn't accept that.

Heidi cared about her status more than anything. She knew that once the company was gone, the other wealthy heiresses would probably laugh behind her back.

As Gregory and Emma pulled her away, Heidi spun around, her face twisted with fury and desperation. "Edward she yelled. "You'll regret this! Janice isn't right for you! She only cares about money and power. She'll go with anyone who has it! You'll pay for this!"

This was Heidi's final act of defiance, but Edward didn't even spare her a glance.

When the door finally closed, one of the bodyguards quietly asked, "Mr. Moore, you're really letting her go?"

"This will make her suffer more than anything else," Edward said flatly.

Heidi had always been a social climber. Gregory and Emma had been taking her to the homes of the wealthy and influential from a young age. Status and reputation were everything to her. Now, without her heiress title, she wouldn't even be able to look down on Janice.

Besides, Edward had only promised to let her leave. He hadn't agreed to anything

else.

Heidi stormed out of the villa area,

muttering curses about Janice

under her breath. She stormed

toward the road, but before she

realized it, she slipped on the ice and

fell hard.

Just as she tried to get up, a huge, snarling dog lunged at her, sinking its teeth

into her hand and shaking it violently.

"Help! My hand!" Heidi screamed in pain.

Gregory and Emma panicked, desperately trying to pull the dog off, but it acted like a wild animal and refused to let go.

Heidi passed out from the pain. The police arrived and subdued the dog, knocking it unconscious before hauling it away.

Edward watched the scene with a calm expression on his face. "Take good care of the dog. Let it live out its days in comfort," he told the police. "Understood," the officer replied.

The dog wasn't just any stray. It was a dangerous breed known for its power and ferocity.

At this moment, Amelia huddled against the edge of the wall, trembling. Heidi had left, and she couldn't shake the thought of Edward tearing her apart.

Edward stubbed out his cigarette and slowly lifted his gaze. "Do you want to live?"

He wasn't acting irrationally. Although Amelia caused this mess, she wouldn't have had the courage to execute it without Heidi pushing her.

He had always found these people annoying, but never to the point where they deserved to disappear. But now, he realized he was wrong.

Robert was right-he couldn't kill Heidi. It was illegal, and it would create distance between him and Janice. He needed to get rid of Heidi in a legitimate way.

Amelia swallowed hard. "W-What do you need me to do?"
